Plinth blocks (also spelled plynth block) are placed at the bottom of doorways next to the baseboard. Casing is then applied between plinth blocks following up along the doorway edge to the corner rosette. Plinth blocks are normally 1/4" to 1/2" wider than the casing leaving a nice reveal on each side giving the treatment a grand look.
You can choose the plain style; match a bullseye or embossed plinth with a corresponding bullseye or embossed corner block. They are available in red oak, cherry, maple, pine and tulip poplar. Other species and sizes can be made by special request.
